Diggy Simmons recently chopped it up with HipHopWired in L.A. over a game of pool.

The 16-year-old rap phenom spoke on a number of topics including his famous family, his “Closer To My Dreams” tour with Tyga and his signing to Atlantic Records.

According to Diggy Atlantic’s been more than supportive and even encouraged him to immediately release an album—an offer he ultimately turned down.

“Since I’ve got with Atlantic they’ve been very hands on with the things that I’ve wanted to do. Even when I first got signed they wanted to roll, they said “Let’s do an album now” but I felt there was work that I needed to lay down before I went into it.”
