San Diego police are seeking to interview church goers who may have witnessed a minor altercation between basketball star Kobe Bryant and a young man at a service on Sunday.

Bryant reportedly became concerned that the young man was taking his picture, police said.

During a confrontation at the back of the church, Bryant may have grabbed the mans wrist to grab the man’s phone.

Bryant, seeing no pictures on the phone, returned the phone to the man and, left the church before the service had ended.

The man, who has yet to be identified, later went to a hospital with what is described as a minor wrist sprain.

“We’re attempting to interview all the [participants],” said a San Diego police spokesman.

The incident occurred at St. Therese of Carmel Church in the upscale neighborhood of Carmel Valley.

Sounds like someone is trying to retire early!
