A controversial video is sweeping across the internet and in it, we see a young Black girl shucking and jiving for the camera.

Made by “rapper” Chapter, the video titled “It’s Free Swipe Yo EBT” shows an array of Black and hispanic women pregnant or pushing baby strollers while she yells (in a voice that’s almost indecipherable) about different stores that accept EBT cards. (El Pollo Loco, Burger King and clothing retailer Rainbow to name a few.)

A description for the video reads,

“Keywanda is having the time of her life. Her job is raising her family of 10 children while dealing with the drama and stress of the childrens fathers. Thanks to the great state of California, Keywanda can support her lifestyle of having fun, getting “Turnt Up” and the kids can even get to eat from time to time.”

“Public service announcement….this is where your tax payer money goes.”

Most controversial however is the chorus to the EBT song that says,

And nine months later you’re getting the big bucks but all you have to do is Fawk.”

Chapter made sure to post on the YouTube video that it was meant to be satirical and poke fun at a real issue, but is this REALLY the best way she could think to do it?

Are the rapper’s message and lyrical skills being lost in this satirical video?

Decide for yourself below.
