Tha Carter IV Expected To Sell Close To 1 Million Copies

Lil Wayne is set to do big numbers this week for his latest project Tha Carter IV, now that Billboard predicts it will sell over 700,000 copies.

As previously reported, Wayne released the project digitally Sunday at midnight after the MTV VMas.

Now with physical copies of the album in stores, he’s expected to have a huge sales boost, one that could put him close to the 1 million mark.

According to Billboard, Weezy’s projected to sell 700,000-850,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Sept. 4.

If Tha Carter IV indeed hits the 700,000 mark, it will become the second highest selling album of the year behind Lady Gaga’s 1.11 million debut with “Born This Way.”

Lil Wayne’s previous album Tha Carter III sold 1.01 million in its first week.
