Ludacris, Better World Books, DoSomething.org And 100,000 Youth Collect 250,000 Books

Ludacris has officially achieved his goal with Better World Books and DoSomething.org to provide books for underprivileged youth in Louisiana.

As previously reported, Luda was teaming up with the global bookstore and teen nonprofit to encourage community book drives with an aim at re-stocking libraries in New Orleans’ Recovery School District.

Now the results of the drives are in, and show that over 100,000 people collected over 250,000 books with Better World Books providing free shipping to all groups organizing drives.

Ludacris has released a statement on the results saying,

“I’m proud to be a part of the Epic Book Drive and to see that over 100,000 young people participated,” By collecting such a huge number of books for those in need, teens around the country showed they haven’t forgotten about New Orleans and the Recovery School District.”
