Lil Wayne’s date with fate is on the way. The date for his upcoming court case for drug and gun charges has finally been announced. He was arrested on his tour bus in January of 2008 after Arizona police discovered a loaded hand gun, marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy on board. Wayne’s been charged with one count of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Now he’s expected to appear in a Yuma County, Arizona court room at 1:30 p.m. on March 30, 2010 to face the music.

According to The Yuma Sun, Judge Mark Wayne Reeces made the decision Thursday in a federal court room. After asking attorneys how long they though the trial would last, Deane Sandry, who is prosecuting for the Yuma County Attorney’s Office responded: “I’m going to guesstimate that two weeks should be sufficient.”

While defense attorney, James Tilson responded by saying due to his client’s notoriety and the media coverage of the case, the trial could take as long as three weeks.

The date is not set in stone however; a final trial management conference will take place two weeks prior to the trial.
