Houston's Own DJ Screw, Big Moe, HAWK, and Pimp C Honored in New DVD

Houston, Texas’s Hip Hop music scene was heavily influenced by DJ Screw, Big Moe, HAWK, and Pimp C and now the four will be honored in a Mixtape DVD Series by Pitch Control TV.

The Volume 3 of the Mixtape DVD Series includes video tributes and special moments with the artists before they passed. The director wanted the focus to be on the special moments more than the beef so this edition includes almost 2 hours of exclusive material — interviews, concerts, music videos and behind the scenes footage with some of the hottest and most respected artists in Texas.

This new DVD also promises to show positive moments, which are often lost in the “rap world,” such as Trae tha Truth being recognized for his accomplishments in the city of Houston and being given his own holiday, known as “TRAE DAY.”

If all you know of “Screw & Chopped” music is the T-Pain reference then this DVD should be pretty informative about DJ Screw, the originator of “Screw & Chopped” music, Big Moe and HAWK, original members of the Screwed Up Click, and last, but certainly not least, legendary artist, writer and producer Pimp C of UGK.

Here’s a clip from episode 5 of Pitch Control: Vol III

Last Episode: Pimp C “Stackin’ Money” in P.A.

Pimp C of UGK “Stackin’ Money” at D.O. and Ju-Boy’s video shoot in Port Arthur, TX. “Buy You Some!!!!”
