MGK Not Beefing With Yelawolf

According to XXL, Bad Boy artist Machine Gun Kelly has no interest in beefing with Shady Records emcee Yelawolf.

“I don’t think hip-hop needs that,” MGK said in response to being called out by Yelawolf.

“I think it’s corny… I think people took things the wrong way. We never got a chance to speak.”

“I’m 21, man, of course I’m gonna say some stuff that people don’t understand,” Kelly continued.

“I’m just trying to mature and grow up… When I watched the interview, I couldn’t say anything, but, ‘I feel you, man.’”

“I’m still going to be a kid, I’m sure I’ll say some more messed up things.”

The short-lived tension between Yela and MGK began over Machine Gun Kelly’s reaction and comments over lyrics to Yelawolf’s BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher, where Yelawolf said, “Plenty of white boys to pick from this year/But before you pick a pepper you better pick up your heater.”

MGK went public with his feelings towards the lyrics, which led to Yelawolf saying in an interview “He’s being sensitive. He thinks I’m talking about him [when I’m not].”

Luckily cooler heads have prevailed before anything starts getting out of hand, because MGK is right, white rapper beef would be corny.
