Jay-Z Sued By Workers’ Compensation Board of New York

Jay-Z is getting sued, again. TMZ reports that Hova has been hit with a lawsuit by the Workers’ Compensation Board of New York for allegedly failing to pay worker’s compensation for a few months back in 2009. The employees weren’t of his famed 40/40 Club, but domestic workers (cooks, maids, etc).

Jigga corrected the miscue after obtaining proper insurance but was nevertheless fined $18,000. It’s this outstanding amount that he is being sued for. Safe bet that the part-owner of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets can afford to cut the check. However, the matter may all be due to a billing error. In that case, Jay-Z should say, to quote “The Ruler’s Back” off The Blueprint, “I’m not guilty now gimme back my bread!”
