Drake & Roscoe Dash Help Moscato Take The  Hip-Hop World By Storm [Video/Photos]

Every few years, acclaimed Hip-Hop lyricists catapult a new liquor  trend with rhymes that take over the radio waves and infiltrate the hottest club scenes.

In the 1990’s there was Jay-Z and his Roc-A-Fella crew rapping about Cristal while, at the turn of the millennium, Busta Rhymes was known to “pass the Courvoisier.” Over the past few months artists like Drake, who represent the future of Hip-Hop , shouted-out lyrics about Moscato wine.

His verse on, “I Invented Sex” with Trey Songz, says:

“It’s a celebration, clap clap bravo / lobster and shrimp and a glass of Moscato / for the girl who’s a student and the friend who’s a model / finish the whole bottle and we gon’ do it big like this.”

With an amazing increase in Moscato consumption, one can’t help but wonder how much Hip-Hop’s cultural influence has played a role.

While more obscure Moscato brands are plentiful, MARTINI – the most iconic name in Italian winemaking – introduced the newest wine in its portfolio in 2011, MARTINI Moscato d’Asti.

Marking the first occasion where an acclaimed international wine brand with a rich history is emerging as a true leader in the Moscato category, the Hip-Hop world will truly have something delicious to rap about. From Drake to Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash, Waka Flocka and many more, Hip-Hop lyrics are clearly dictating to pour Moscato and the masses are following by popping bottles at the clubs and for special occasions.
