While at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, MTV News caught up with Wiz Khalifa and discussed his girlfriend Amber Rose’s recent music ventures. “She’s amazing. I love Amber so much, as a person and just watching her grow and just take things on,” said the Taylor Gang front man of Rose’s development. “I just really get to sit back and watch her become this amazing superstar that I already knew she was. Now everybody else gets to see it.”

The couple collaborated on Amber’s debut single “Fame,” and appeared in a trailer for the movie Gang of Roses 2: The Next Generation. Wiz’s confidence in Rose has also helped her to embrace this new career path. In a recent interview with MTV RapFix, Rose spoke on her new single and proving herself as an artist.

“I knew when I put out this single that I was gonna deal with scrutiny or people that might like the song but just because it’s me, they don’t like it — they just don’t want to give it a chance, but that’s OK…They don’t have to take me as an artist right now. I’ll just have to prove it to them.”

Unfortunately with “Fame,” comes scorn, and having to deal with questions that aren’t always the easiest subjects to address for Rose; namely Kanye West. Rose has found herself overwhelmed with emotion when addressing her previous relationship.

“I’m just crying because I don’t deserve to be bullied like that,” said Rose. “I’m a nice girl, i don’t bother anybody and I keep my mouth shut because I don’t want any trouble. To be bullied through music and stuff like that, it’s not fair to me. I don’t deserve that, and I’m sick of being bullied.”

Although she’s faced a few stumbling blocks along the way, Rose seems ready to move passed these issues and take on what stardom lies ahead.  “It was hard for me to embrace the fact that I was famous…now that I’ve embraced it, I’m ready to move on and do everything that I enjoy doing — one being music.”
