Amare Stoudemire’s Brother Dies In Car Crash

Hazell Stoudemire, the brother of New York Knicks star Amare Stoudemire, was killed in a car crash earlier this morning. According to ESPN, the Florida Highway Patrol said that Hazell was driving a Cadillac Escalade north on U.S. 27 in Lake Wales, Fla. at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear of a tractor trailer at around 1:45 a.m. ET.

The police said that the 35-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and was declared dead at the scene. The New York Knicks said that Stoudemire is traveling to Florida to be with his family and will not be with the team for Monday night’s game against the Utah Jazz in New York.

Our condolences go out to the Stoudemire family.
