As co-host of Rozay‘s latest mixtape, XXL’s Shaheem Reid, was privy to some extensive time with the MMG Boss. In part one of their interview session, Ross shared the story of how he’s built the Maybach Music empire. The Miami MC spoke on how he met both Wale and Meek Mill, and how a deal with MMG came to fruition. “That was destiny, because when thinking back on my encounters with both Meek and Wale, they both just felt natural,” Ross stated.

He went on to share what it is about the two MC’s that built such a strong sense of camaraderie between the three of them. “They both work at the kind of pace that I like to work at,” said Ross. “I’m the type that will do three or four records in one day, and if I’m working with you, and you’re still on the first record, while I’m going on the fourth, I’m not gonna be that excited to get back into the studio with you because I know that it’s always gonna be that overlapping…These dudes are like me.”

Rozay shared the creative styles of both as well as the origin of the smash single, “I’ma Boss.” “My first time meeting Meek, was after he had just came home, and he told me that he wanted me on the remix. I knew he didn’t have the money to pay me for it, but it was just the fact that he put it on the table to do business, so I laced’em.”

The year 2012 is shaping up to be a big year for the MMG Camp, as they gear up for several new projects, and possibly new additions to the roster. See what else the 2011 Source Man of the Year had to say about The Untouchable Maybach Music Empire.
