Chicago has long been established a breeding ground for MC and Rockie Fresh aims at maintaining that track record. Born Donald Pullen, the 20 year-old recently dropped a new mixtape, Driving 88, and the the multifaceted rapper sat down for a quick chat with Hip-Hop Wired.

“I lived in diverse setting, so that made my music become more relateable to different kinds of people,” said Rockie of his Chi-Town pedigree’s influence on the music he creates. “I don’t feel binded [sic] to make one sound of music. I feel like from my very first release all the way to my latest relase I’ve shown a lot of diversity in my music, so people just kind of expect that from me. It gives me a wide range of things that I can do.”
