Earlier in the week, the good staff over at HTC and Beats By Dre flew yours truly and a few influential bloggers down to Miami, Florida to check out their new phone, the HTC One. The first thing that catches your attention about the device is it’s very sleek design. Slightly the same size as your iPhone 4s, the HTC One phone’s main objective is capturing a moment. By capitalizing on the young social media generation, the Andriod-powered HTC is up to the task when it comes to capturing a beautiful photo, of vibing out to your favorite songs. The phone is equipped with Beats Audio and comes with a complimentary pair of Beats By Dre solo headphones.

“The best moments in life are captured by a photo or remembered by a song, so it was key for the HTC One series to improve these emotional experiences with an amazing camera and authentic sound experience,” said Peter Chou CEO of HTC Corporation. “We are focused on creating a camera and audio experience that our customers will love  and use often and we believe the HTC One series delivers this in a way never seen before.”

When I got a chance to try out the much ballyhooed camera, the 8 megapixels make it comparable to the iPhone, but it is the 28 mm wide angle lens that sets it apart from the competition. Once more, you can shoot video and get still camera shots at the same damn time (what up, Future?) with their Video Pic option. The Dropbox option  also ensures that you will be hard pressed to run out of space on your phone. This gives you 25 gigabites of free space for HTC one customers, good enough for up to 10,000 snaps.

As far as the sound, Beats By Dre audio is integrated throughout the entire phone. So not only are you able to listen to music in high quality, but streaming audio, video, and more all enhance your listening pleasure with Beats audio. The most impressive of the feat of Beats audio is the HTC Car Stereo clip, that allows you to literally shake the block with music straight from your phone to your car stereo.
