Jon Lovitz is not backing down from the slander he launched at President Obama during a podcast that found its way to the news circuit last week. The Saturday Night Live alum took to Twitter to clear up any misconceptions regarding calling the leader of the free world an “f—ing a–hole.”
In a series of tweets, the comedian attacked the media for covering his verbal tirade. “Because I criticized the President, it’s news? Last I checked, he’s President, not King! This is America! Freedom of Speech. what’s the bfd?” he wrote. “I never realized the economy was Democratic or Republican… I thought it was business and math.”
Lovitz also responded to online criticism he received during his Twitter rant, telling one person that the “President is lying,” and that he “just pointed it out.”
The interview in question was helmed by filmmaker Kevin Smith. Despite taking place in January, Lovitz’ audio didn’t hit the media until last week.
Despite the disrespect, Obama proved to have a sense of humor when it comes to his critics. The Commander in Chief poked fun at the likes of Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin during his speech at the White House Correspondence Dinner, over the weekend.
