Yesterday, we lost “Queen of the Disco” Donna Summer, who passed away at 63 years-old after battling cancer. Summer will live on forever thanks to her music, which spawned a groundbreaking legacy that paved the way for many contemporary female singers. Beyoncé recognized this, releasing a statement on her website that says the late artists was “an honest and gifted singer with flawless vocal talent.”

The Urban Daily has listed five artists, including Beyoncé,  who owe the “Love To Love Ya Baby” singer a debt of gratitude.

Without Summer, Beyonce wouldn’t know the art of Hot seductive singing while keeping it classy.
