Legendary producer, Large Professor, has been the mind behind some of Hip-Hop’s most illustrious classic records. Ranging from A Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim, to Kool G. Rap and Big Daddy Kane; Large Pro is largely responsible for the sound of the golden era New York Hip-Hop. One of the more unforgettable contributions from Large Professor was his work on Nas‘ classic debut album Illmatic. Producing records like “Halftime,” “It Ain’t Hard To Tell,” and “One Time 4 Ya Mind,” Pro talks to Hip-Hop Wired about the essence of that album and what it took to create that classic album.
