9 Piece: Hip-Hop Drug Songs (That Are Really Anti-Drug PSAs)


Sometimes Hip-Hop gets a bad rap (no pun). In many instances, the foul lyrics, guttural content and repetitive chorus’ that seem to press home illicit themes can muffle the point that is trying to be made by the artist to the general public. There are a number of songs that get slandered by the media and older generation for talking explicitly about topics like overt drug use. However, plenty of these song have hidden, more righteous agendas that are hard to decipher unless you dig a little deeper.

Here are nine tracks that seem to promote drug use at first glance/listen, but, upon further review, tell a different story.
