L. A. radio station, Power 106’s annual PowerHouse concert was chocked full of rap stars, with Tyga sitting at the top of the heap. Young Money’s resident West Coaster headlined the event, held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Saturday (June 23), and had more than a few tricks up his sleeve.

Playing to a packed house, Tyga descended from the ceiling before energetically running through tracks off his Careless World debut. Of all the surprise guests to take the stage, the 22-year-old saved the biggest name for last, bringing Lil Wayne out for “Faded,” and “The Motto.”

Earlier in the night, the likes of T.I., Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Wale, Y.G., Young Jeezy, and J. Cole all rocked the stadium. “Everybody shows love but L.A. is more excited,” Cole tells Hip-Hop Wired. “They appreciate you more, I don’t know why.”

Following in the Roc Nation rapper’s sentiments was Lamar, who was honored to return to his Southern California roots. “This feels real good,” Lamar says. “20,000 people, my people. It’s nothing but love and energy.”
