NME spoke with Kelis to catch up on what she has been up to lately, but all you really care about is what she thinks about Nas’ album cover. You know, the Life Is Good artwork where the “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” MC is seen suited up and holding a green dress; a not so subtle reference to the sole object he told VH1 Behind The Music his ex-wife Kelis left in the crib when she broke out.

“Well, my feelings about it are not really relevant, but at the end of the day Nas is an artist,” Kelis told NME while at the Isle of Wight Festival. “And for whatever it’s worth he’s one of the greatest, especially for what it is he does. For me, I feel like especially for someone in Hip-Hop to kind of be genuine and honest, whatever the honesty is about, I think it’s awesome. So my feelings about it aren’t really necessarily valid, it’s just the fact that as an artist I can respect that he wears his feelings on his sleeve.”

Well, there you have it. Watch the clip below. Nas’ Life Is Good album is out July 17th and hopefully it’s awesome, too.
