Peter Rosenberg premiered a new track from Asher Roth entitled “Turnip The Beet,” on which the Pennsylvania MC displays his wizardry with the wordplay. If you didn’t know that Roth’s range extended past the playful “I Love College,” you will after listening to the track. The song’s soundscape was crafted by Asher Roth’s frequent collaborator, David Appleton.

Though it may seem like Asher Roth has been off the radar since 2011’s Pabst & Jazz, the young MC has actually been grinding more than most realize. The recent Def Jam signee is actually working on his new album, Is This Too Orange?, which is set to release before year’s end.

Listen to “Turnip The Beet” after the jump.
