D’Angelo is taking his show on the road. Like Ms. Lauryn Hill before him, the singer, slowly descended back onto the stage. In the last few months he’s made spot appearances at the BET Awards and the Bonnaroo Music Festival, among others, and now he’s announced an official tour.

The 38-year-old will embark on his co-headlining Liberation tour, alongside Mary J. Blige, and special guest, Melanie Fionna. “I felt like it would be refreshing and fun for people to see him and Mary J. Blige on the road together,” Blige said in an interview with Rolling Stone

Kicking off August 8 at the Farm Bureau Live in Virginia, the trek is set to wrap up September 2 at Houston’s Toyota Center. For now, only eight dates have been released, but based on public demand, there’s always a chance that the trek could be extended (if Jay-Z can play eight shows at Barclays, surely D’Angelo can add a few more dates to his plate).

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, and will run customers between $40-$195  a pop, depending on the location.

Check out the tour dates below.
