Running down the list is of Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA’s achievements over the last 20 years would impress anyone. Not only has the “Abbot” of the WTC created one of Hip-Hop’s most legendary crews along with cementing a rich musical legacy, Rzarector has channeled his vision into acting, scoring films and now a film company that will work on comic book film adaptations. Deadspin got the exclusive scoop from this year’s Comic Con in San Diego that RZA is joining forces with film producer and director Reginald Hudlin to work on comic-related projects and possibly form a company.

Given Hudlin’s treatment of Marvel’s The Black Panther series for BET and also writing the comic for three years, there is speculation that the pair will focus on the superhero genre. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for the news considering Marvel brass have teased that a Black Panther movie could be in the works. RZA is also making a new splash in the film world this November 2nd with his directorial debut, The Man With The Iron Fists, starring himself, Russell Crowe, Pam Grier, Lucy Liu and others. Hollywood heavyweight and Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino helped produce RZA’s upcoming opus.

Hudlin is also linked to the latest Tarantino vehicle as a producer, and it appears that RZA’s time on the west coast has parlayed into what should be seen an extension of his already astounding career.

Congrats to the RZA and Reginald Hudlin!
