It’s no secret that Beyoncé and Michelle Obama have a mutual adoration for one another. In honor of her love for the first lady, the singer released a video reading the letter she wrote to Mrs. Obama, which was originally posted on her Tumblr page. “I wrote a letter to the first lady because I want her to know that I’m very grateful for everything she’s doing for our country, and also for women around the world,” Bey explained.

Like Beyoncé, Mrs. Obama has also been vocal with her praise. In an interview with People Magazine, she revealed that—if given the opportunity— she would like to possess the 30-year-old’s talents.  “If I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé. I’d be some great singer.”

Back in May, Mrs. Obama traveled to Atlantic City to witness Beyoncé’s first return to the stage since giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter. at the top of the year. Following the show, the mother of two went on ABC’s Good Morning America, to promote her book American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, and said “I love her to death,” when asked about the singer.
