Hip-Hop may have accepted Frank Ocean’s love for another man, but is the culture really ready to receive an openly gay rapper? Well, ready or not New York rhymer Le1f is proudly putting his flamboyance on display by way of the music video for his track, “Wut.”

In the video—which has clocked over 96,000 views on YouTube— Le1f doesn’t hold back doing everything from clapping his butt cheeks (yes, you read that correctly), to sitting on another man’s lap, leaving little to the imagination. Given the obvious connection to Ocean’s coming-out announcement, Le1f is ready for the criticism. In response to Bossip’s tweet “See what Frank Ocean started? The rapper hit back with, “He started it? Or are you just late.”

He also went off on Twitter due to more public backlash writing, “YO HOMOPHOBES: LAST TIME I CHECKED I WAS STILL A BROKE N-GGA LIVING IN THE PROJECTS, THO. EXPLAIN THAT ONE.”

For what it’s worth, the song is pretty weak regardless of what he’s talking about, but he’s not a bad rapper. Also, even though it’s shocking to see a man dancing on another man, Le1F must be called out…for doing the Harlem shake, like we’re still in 2001.
