Raekwon the Chef over a chunky, bass loaded beat courtesy of DJ Babu. These are the ingredients for “Keep It Politics”  and it makes for a tasty song. The tune is the latest single from the forthcoming Closed Sessions, Vol. 2 project, due out in August.

Closed Sessions is an indie label out of Chicago, and along with Ruby Hornet and MTV will be dropping a mini-doc to accompany the album’s release, which seems to get pushed back with every new single. A recent entry was “Don’t Happen That Often” by L.E.P. Bogus Boys.

Check out Rae discussing working with Babu and his recording process at Soundscape Studios in the video, courtesy of MTV Sucker Free on the next page, and listen to “Keep It Politics” after the break.
