Swizz Beatz has developed into quite an entrepreneur. Despite enduring a busy personal life which includes being a painter and collector, a car enthusiast, and being a father to 4 kids (by 4 different women), Mr. Keys has been one of the most sought out producers this decade. With endorsements from Reebok and Lotus car company, as well as a fashion partnership with KidRobot, Swizz has kept himself busy and worn many hats since his rise from the Ruff Ryders camp.

But yet there is one more notch on his resume that the Federal Government feels they see him as, and that is CEO of the controversial MegaUpload, where it is alleged that the site helped build massive loss in profits to TV, Movies, and Music companies with its worldwide service of sharing content .  The U.S. Attorney alleged that the Bronx producer refused to go along with the investigation into the case against Megaupload and creator Kim Dotcom.

“I would never be a part of anything that’s taking anything from an artist when I fight so hard to give so much too the artist.”  exclaimed Swizz in his defense, also adding “What I was doing, I was giving artists 90 percent of their s**t,”

Swizz is under the impression that the federal investigation seems to be a sort of witch hunt due to the rise and popularity of the file sharing giant, saying “”Sometimes, when something is so powerful and people can’t control it, that type of attack happens and you see that happen with multiple things in life.”

With so many federal indictments reigning down on musicians, what happened to the good ol’ days when all they had to worry about were the “Hip-Hop Police”?
