Her dougie isn’t so great, but Gabby Douglas is still an amazing gymnast who can now add another gold medal to her collection. The 16-year-old pretty much killed the Olympic women’s gymnastics individual competition in London, Thursday (Aug. 2).

Douglas earned 62.2323 points, beating out Russian competitor Victoria Komova by .057 points. According to reports, the Virginia native was a force to be reckoned with from beginning to end, tackling everything from the vault to an eloquent floor exercise. Taking third place was Russia’s Alyia Mustafina, who initially tied for third with U.S. team member Aly Raisman, but won the medal on a tiebreaker.

Despite her whirlwind week at the Olympics, Douglas remains humble. “Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me,” she tweeted earlier today.

With her latest win, Douglas has further inserted herself into the country’s collective heart, and is being hailed as “America’s sweetheart.” She is only the second Black woman to earn an Olympic gold medal in gymnastics. The first being Dominique Dawes who earned a team gold medal at the 1996 games, in Atlanta.
