After releasing pathogenic rhyme medleys on “Slash Gordon,” which was featured on DJ Muggs and Supernatural’s  “Rock The Bells 2012” mixtape, it was only a matter time before west coast titans Fashawn and Murs joined forces.  Indeed, the deadly duo are teaming up for their forthcoming collaborative album This Generation, which is slated to be released in stores September 25 through Duck Down Music Inc.

Varying in both age and experience, Fashawn believes their individual experiences can  “add two separate accounts and bridge the gap.”  In addition, Murs  has described their project as a “an amalgamation of all the different styles and eras.”

The album will be produced by the beatsmith duo Beatnik and K-Salaam.  In a released statement,  Fashawn applauded their production, saying,  “They bring a brand new sound. We couldn’t picture any other producers. They could do an instrumental solo as a third verse and you wouldn’t be mad.”

As if they need it, the rap duo stated there wasn’t much space for cameo appearances due to the fact they ““had a lot to say.”

For promotion of the album, Fash and Murs are touring cross-country as part of the Rock the Bells tour which will take place in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles this summer.
