Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is being plagued by Murphy’s Law. It’s been just over a week since he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Evelyn Lozada, and now the former Miami Dolphins player is being sued, on top of mounds of other unfortunate luck.

Johnson’s former employee, Jacinth Preston, filed suit in Broward County, Fla. on Aug. 7, claiming that the 34-year-old owes him $130,000 for providing several services including landscaping and decorating. Preston filed a lien against Johnson, which may result in foreclosure, if he doesn’t pay up.

Ironically the wide-receiver is already in fear of having his $400,000 Miami condo foreclosed on over thousands of dollars in unpaid maintenance fees.

Aside from his financial issues, which have been made public as of late, Johnson is getting a divorce from Lozada who filed paperwork not long after the altercation. Although he publicly apologized, and professed his love for the reality star whom he met on Twitter, that doesn’t appear to be enough to keep the marriage together. “I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me,” she said in a statement. “It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles.”

As if the reveal of the details into his personal life weren’t embarrassing enough, Johnson was also taped being cut from the Dolphins for the HBO show Hard Knocks.
