The existence of a Black Hippy album will never come into fruition, according to Ab-Soul. The Carson, Calif. rapper, and member of the Black Hippy crew (comprised of Ab, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q), reveals to Hip-Hop Wired that the project will never see the light of day. “No, never, ever!” he says. “Fa real, seriously.”

Fans will just have to wait and see if Ab’s is telling the truth, but his response is the direct opposite of what  Schoolboy Q told us earlier in the summer. “Once we make that sh-t a class and we feel we ready to do it, we gon’ do it,” said Schoolboy.

Conflicting stories aside, one topic Ab is clear about is his Control System debut, which he will be hitting the road to promote throughout the fall. “They keep me posted as I go, I just rap,” he said of his busy schedule.

In the rest of our interview the 25-year-old speaks of being featured on Lamar’s forthcoming high anticipated good kidd m.A.A.d city debut, and the song with Lady Gaga that his fellow TDE comrade will be recording.
