Terrence J has officially been named a new co-anchor of E! News, reports Deadline. Born Terrence Jenkins, the former BET’s 106 & Park co-host will be replacing Ryan Seacrest. The TV host and actor (Think Like A Man) starts his new gig on November 17th with co-host Giuliana Rancic.

“Having Giuliana and Terrence for the weeknight program, and Jason and Catt for weekends, gives us a quartet of skilled, popular broadcast journalists and will give viewers a fun, fresh look at pop culture news,” said E! President of Network Strategy and E! News Cyndi McClellan.

“It’s official,” tweeted Terrence this morning (September 4th). Back in May 2012, he did a test run on E! News and tt looks like he passed with flying colors. As for his old haunts, there has been no announcement from BET as to who will be replacing him and Rosci Diaz, who were the video countdown show 106 & Park’s hosts for seven years.

E! News airs weeknights at 7pm and 11:30pm. Interestingly, it seems its new co-anchor will be going by his birth name instead of “Terrence J.” That check must be very, very nice.  Congratulations.
