“We got a new element amongst the family, shout out to CNN, they just joined the Ice Water family.  That’s right, Capone N Nore, you know what time it is.”

As some artists are able to establish their own lane and ride it through the duration of their rap career, others continue to find missteps and must find new measures and make power moves.

For Capone-N-Noreaga, locally known as CNN, the duo has decided to make their own power play by linking up with Raekwon and his IceWater Entertainment.  Surely riding off the wave of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…pt.2, the two have seen that the 90’s era of rap is still relevant in 2009.

No matter what the sales may say, the quantity does not dictate the actual quality as the Chef was able to cook up one of the year’s best albums.

Heavy at work on the road as he continues to promote his latest offering, Rae was able to speak on the deal made between himself and CNN and also added that there is even a bigger announcement that will be reserved until the new year hits.

We did this like a little merge thing so get ready for that.  It’s about to jump off.  Like I said, we gon make a great big ,big announcement.  January 1.  Super, super big, even though that’s a big one right there, just to see CNN and Ice H20 form a collaborated movement.  A lot of things going on; for myself, we just staying busy, staying working.”

Specifics haven’t been provided to what type of projects they will be conjuring up, but the coalition of New York rappers has rarely disappointed, so it is something to anticipate.

With The Wu-Massacre now pushed back to a release on February 9, what else could possibly be in store from the member of the Wu Tang Clan.

When MTV charted Rae at number 10 for the Hottest MCs in the Game, it was clear that there was a shift in how music was being translated by the fans.  The era of lyrics and substance may be rolling, with the Chef leading the charge to cook up more for the streets to feed off of.
