Video footage from a closed-door meeting between Mitt Romney and 30 donors, revealed his true feelings towards those who support President Obama. The Republican hopeful addressed the group stating that voters who are leaning on the side of the president are doing so because they are “dependent on government.”

In the clip, Romney is very candid about his feelings towards certain voters. “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” he explains. “All right — there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that’s an entitlement, and the government should give it to them, and they will vote for this president no matter what. ”

The video, which was uploaded online by an anonymous source, has been distorted at times to protect certain areas of privacy. “I have obviously degraded the quality to attempt to camo the location,” the filmmaker told the Huffington Post.

With just under two months to go before the November election, the video footage has the power to further tarnish Romney’s image among average Americans. He has been seen by some as being out of touch with lower-income citizens, and according to an interview with Good Morning America believes that those bringing in a “middle income” make $200,000 to $250,000, or less. With a net worth believed to be at $200 million, the former governor has had issues trying to paint himself as being more than a rich politician with no intentions of helping the millions of Americans barely making ends meat.

As previously reported, Romney arrived in Los Angeles Monday (Sept. 18) in an attempt to appeal to Hispanic voters.

He has not yet offered an explanation for the newly released footage.
