Terrell Owens time with the Seattle Seahawks was short, and not very economically viable. During his brief tenure on the team the receiver made only $4,342.86, according to documents filed in his child support case, and obtained by TMZ.

Owens worked a total of 152 hours, and would have received nearly $1 million had he not been cut from the team. He handed over his check stubs to prove his financial status for the pending case, which involves two women whom he has children with.

His Seahawks salary is far less than his contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Landing second on the list of all-time receiving yards, Owens clocked a $49,000,000 seven-year contract with the team, and before that netted $25,000,000 for three years with the Dallas Cowboys.

Once at the top of his game both personally and professionally, the 38-year-old has experienced sharp financial hardship over the last few years. Before being picked up by the Seahawks, he played for the Indoor Football League team the Allen Wranglers, but was released. The coach for the Wrangler explained that Owens’ firing was “performance based.”

Regardless of his  predicament, Owens keeps his head up, often posting words of inspiration and Bible verses on Twitter.
