Manny Pacquiao is going to be about $114,00 richer. Floyd Mayweather was ordered to pay his potential boxing opponent over a defamation suit filed against him, reports TMZ.

The legal battle stems from Mayweather’s 2009 claims that Pacquiao used performance enhancement drugs. He was made to cough up a total of $113, 774 for failing to appear at a court ordered deposition between July and October of 2011. Even though he was ordered to pay the fees, which will go towards Pacquiao’s legal fees and court costs, it does not mean the he has lost the case. According to Mayweather his failure to appear between the three-month period was because he had to train. Pacquiao isn’t buying the 35-year-old’s claims, citing photos of Mayweather partying in nightclubs around the country as evidence.

Pacquiao feels that he should win the cased based on Mayweather’s behavior, but a judge has yet to rule on the side of his theory.

Since getting out of jail earlier in the summer, the usually boisterous Mayweather has been pretty quiet, possibly because his friendship with 50 Cent is going through a transitional period. The G-Unit head honcho has jumped on the Pacquiao boat in hopes of making the long-awaited bout between the two happen.
