Original Hot Boy and former Cash Money Records artist, Turk, was finally released from prison last week after eight years, eight months and sixteen days of imprisonment.

Eight years ago, the New Orleans-bred rapper went to jail for attempted murder and a possession of a firearm. However, Turk says he kept in good contact with the industry so it wouldn’t be too hard on him when he was finally a free man.

“Yeah, I’m waiting on Mack Maine to give me a call right now,” Turk said when asked if he will be working with Lil Wayne soon. “I’m waiting on him to hit me up and see what they talking about, but you already know man it’s in the air, we ain’t nothing final yet, I’m just gonna say it is in the air.”
