Flavor Flav was arrested last last week for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and her 17-year-old son, but he wants to make amends, his attorney said Monday (Oct. 22). Attorney Tony Abbatangel appeared in front a Las Vegas judge on behalf of the New York native, expressing that Flav wants to reconcile with his lady love, in spite of the attack.

Flav, is facing battery, criminal domestic violence, and assault charges, which he plans to fight.

Cops were called to his Las Vegas home last Wednesday (Oct. 17) where he is said to have held down his fiancée, Elizabeth Trujillo, before ripping out her earrings. Her son came to her aid and was subsequently chased with knives by the 53-year-old, who also made threats against his life. Once taken into custody, Flav posted $23,000 bail and was later released.

Born William Drayton Jr., the hype man-turned-reality-star is facing up to six years in prison if convicted on the felony assault charges. He is also looking at six months for the domestic battery charge, which is a misdemeanor.

Aside from this latest issue, Flav has also been sought after for not taking care of child support payments, to the tune of $63,458.

The next hearing in the assault case has been scheduled for Nov. 20.
