Uncle Rush a.k.a. Russell Simmons of the Simmons empire is preparing to follow in his brother’s footsteps and star in a reality show. The owner and operator of Global Grind is set to premier on Oprah’s Oxygen network. The new show will be titled, ‘The Russell Simmons Project’ and follow his female assistants as they work under him to manage his business deals, family life, party planning and love life.

Senior Vice President of programming for Oxygen, Amy Introcaso-Davis, released a statement on the network’s excitement of adding the mogul to their programming lineup saying,

“Russell Simmons is a fascinating man and seeing his world through the eyes of his dream team comprised of strong, passionate women provides a unique experience for our viewers. We’re excited to team up with Russell on this project and shine the spotlight on his core group that are living the dream alongside him.”

The reality show will be produced by Simmons Lathan Media Group and Picture This television.

Speaking on his new business venture, Russell says the show will highlight the people he claims are “smarter than him.”

“Throughout my career I have surrounded myself with people smarter than me,” Simmons said. “This show will let them shine and provide insight into how we build our empire from the inside out.”

The mogul also recently acquired the Internet celebrity twitter database, ‘CelebrityTweet.com’ raking in more millions for his already multi-million dollar business.
