One day after viewing the devastation leftover by Sandy, the superstorm that ravaged parts of the East Coast, President Obama is back on the campaign trail.

The president is billed to hit Wisconsin, Colorado, and Nevada Thursday (Nov. 1), and will focus the brunt of his statements on security for the middle class.

“While Gov. Romney promotes the same policies that failed our country and ran the middle class into the ground and calls it change, President Obama will point the way forward to real change that will boost the middle class and create a stronger future for all Americans,” explained  Adam Fetcher, spokesperson for the Obama campaign.

Less than a week before Election Day, Obama has found both an endorsements and praise from two Republicans. Last week, Colin Powell announced his support of the president being re-elected, while New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has had nothing but good things to say about the commander in chief’s quick action after Sandy hit the state.

Christie’s praise is pivotal in that during his speech at the Republican National Convention, he felt very differently, calling  Obama’s tenure in the White House an “era of absentee leadership.”

Post-Sandy, Christie couldn’t have been more satisfied with the president’s ability to take charge. “I spoke to the president three times yesterday,” he told CNN.  “He has been incredibly supportive and helpful to our state and not once did he bring up the election. So if he’s not bringing it up, you can be sure that people in New Jersey are not worried about that primarily if one of the guys running isn’t.”

In spite of the rave reviews, campaign funds are still an issue. Mitt Romney continues to outraise his opponent, bringing in $21 million in the first half of October, as the president’s financial momentum has stalled.
