First and foremost, Earl Sweatshirt hasn’t lost a step with the bars. That’s been stamped. And for the Hip-Hop skeptics who believe otherwise, the Odd Future MC‘s new track “Chum” should be enough proof.

The track almost feels like a therapy session, as Earl paints an emotionally vivid recollection of his life on the chilling piano-loop. Lines like, “Been back a week and I already feel like calling it quits,” insinuate that “Chum” may be slightly dated, but that doesn’t take away from the overall quality of the track.

No word on where the song will land as of yet. Listen to “Chum” below.
