Nicki Minaj is far from a sleuth, but it doesn’t take a genius to see that her “feud” with fellow American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, may have been planned. On the second episode of her three-part My Truth documentary series airing on the E! Network, Minaj finally gave her side of the story.

Leaked video of Minaj’s outburst hit the ‘Net, but didn’t show what led to her acting out. On last night’s show, she told Young Money head Mac Maine, that she had “reached her boiling point,” after being egged on by the multi-Grammy winning songbird.

Following the rift, Carey told Barbara Walters that she was in fear for her life, and had amped up security as a safety precaution. Inadvertently inserting herself into the drama, Walters, recounted the story on The View, and made reference to a quote calling Minaj “unpredictable.” The show however never reached out to Minaj to get her statement.

Unable to cage her candor, the 29-year-old angrily wondered why the veteran journalist gave her the cold shoulder. “Am I not good enough for you to get my side?” Minaj asked to no one in particular while on a private plane. “‘Cause I’m a little Black girl that raps? Because if I was J.Lo, you woulda called. Are we not good enough for your Barbara, ‘cause you wasn’t even there when I was on the show Barbara?”  (Needless to say, Walters never responded to the Young Money rapper’s burning questions).

Minaj also detailed her love for Carey, who she says was upset about another woman possibly stealing her shine, and therefore started a feud to get her off the show. Carey has not directly addressed the aforementioned claims, but one person who has weighed in is President Obama. The commander in chief called for peace among the two ladies, but the airing of the second installment of My Truth probably won’t smooth things over once Idol premieres in January.

Check out the entire clip below, and be on the lookout for Minaj’s hilarious facial expression when she says: “And ain’t nobody gon’ run me off that mother-ckin’ show. Playboy.”

Funny stuff.
