Cassidy visited The Breakfast Club to discuss the ongoing saga that is his war of Twitter jabs and calls to battle with Meek Mill. Under candid questioning from Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, the Philadelphia rapper explained the reasoning behind his rift with the MMG rapper.
First off, Cassidy insisted that the “The Diary Of A Hustla” song that’s been touted as a diss record, is actually not. “If I do a diss record it’s going to be on the ‘Ether’ level, if not worse,” he said. “It’s going to be direct. You gonna know it’s a diss record. You going to know who I’m talking about. That was a little record I threw out there for the streets to keep them fed.”
Opportunistic timing of the track’s release aside, Cass also mentioned that things were all good with his rival (the Philly natives have cuts songs together before) not too long. But, things done changed. “I just felt as though once he got on, things wasn’t exactly the same,” he explained. “I don’t know if it was cause he was busy or he switched his pitch, but I don’t know. But I still kept it all the same. Until I started seeing him talking crazy on Twitter. A couple of months ago he started saying little slick stuff on Twitter cause I retweeted something somebody said… I just wanted to let him know that people on the street want to see us still do music like he used to now that he on.”

“Right now you asking me would I battle him? Yes because I feel as though he said a lot of things that was disrespectful,” said Cassidy. “It’s not like I want no hard or danger to come to him, I just want to respond to the slick stuff he was saying. But I don’t want to do it on Twitter going back and forth.”
Cassidy did say this would all be squashed if Meek Mill stops talking slyly on Twitter and tells the public he doesn’t want to battle him. Good luck with that.
