The eccentric Nardwuar takes his mind bending research and sets his eyes on Pittsburgh native and father-to-be Wiz Khalifa during a stop in Vancouver.

The interview was your standard; Nardwuar supplies artist with incredible finds pertaining to said artist’s life, artist then begins to be wow’d and amazed, and repeat. This time around, Narwuar was able give Wiz an interesting walk down memory lane with songs he has sampled and songs that are considered great “marijuana songs.”

The most impressive find would have to be the original 1996 Cypress Hill Smoke Out Tour poster, which Nardwuar had no problem gifting to the young MC.

Wiz seems to be quite educated in the history of Pittsburgh rap,  which is very commendable for a young artist. Even praising weed rap pioneers like Devin The Dude who he feels is one of the most underrated in the genre, one which Wiz considers a privileged to carry the torch for.

Wiz also shares a story of how his mother’s friend turned him on to Snoop Dogg. “Yes, shout out to her ratchet A$$,” says Wiz. “She used to drive a GMC Jimmy and she had 12’s in the trunk and she used to listen to Doggystyle, and he had a son named Lil Ray, with a rat tail. He was bad as s**t.” Check it all out down below.
