Who doesn’t like a good mob flick? Brad Pitt, rocking a leather jacket and slicked back hair, plays mob muscle James Cogan, who is trying to handle his business after some thugs rob a mob-backed card game. This is all while dealing with an ally who is losing it, James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) and a handler (Richard Jenkins) who is trying to get funny with his money.
Three dumb guys who think they’re smart rob a Mob protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse. Brad Pitt plays the enforcer hired to track them down and restore order. Killing Them Softly also features Richard Jenkins , James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, and Vincent Curatola. Max Casella, Trevor Long, Slaine and Sam Shepard also make appearances.
Set in 2008 while the economy is turmoil, this is Fight Club era Brad Pitt out causing havoc with Ray Liotta of Goodfellas fame in the mix, too. Watch the trailer for Killing Them Softly, in theaters today (November 30th), below.
