Freddie Gibbs No Longer On Young Jeezy’s CTE Imprint?

Free Gibbs is a free agent allegedly.  The rapper hasn’t been signed to Young Jeezy’s CTE for super long, but it looks like that business relationship has ended.

Making it pretty clear via Twitter, Gibbs explained his new status in 140 characters or less.  “I’m the coldest Free Agent in the game,” he wrote. “Feelin like Lebron at decision time.”

Since he failed to elaborate, he could be off the label, or partaking in a pretty standard marketing ploy.

Signs of a crack in his loyalty to CTE may have come last week during an appearance on Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club, where he refused to take sides in Jeezy’s beef with the likes of Rick Ross, among others. “I look at it like this. I don’t know none of those guys personally, you know, that he had issues with. When I get in something it can go to a whole other level,” he said. “I just, you know, aint just about to just diss somebody just to be dissing them.”

Hip-Hop Wired reached out to Gibbs’ people, who told us that “there is no official statement to be made,” at this time.

Stay tuned.
