Ice Cube & DJ Quik Connect With Nike For TV Commercials

AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted turned Hollywood shot caller Ice Cube has traded in his Chuck Taylors and entered into a new partnership with Nike. In Nike's latest commercial advertising their Nike SB, the commercial uses Ice-Cube's classic hit “Today Was A Good Day” and follows skater Paul “P-Rod” Rodriguez as he makes his way throughout L.A. on his four-wheel board. The video ends with Cube rolling over Rodriguez's board in his low-rider and leaving “P-Rod” walking and wondering if it really was a good day.

Nike has also enlisted the services of Compton veteran MC and producer DJ Quik who will be appearing in Nike's (more...)

Although Nas has won the battle with the birth of his son Knight, he has lost the war with Kelis as the judge has ordered the rapper to pay his soon to be ex-wife close to $40,000 per month for spousal and child support.

With a short and simple response from Jay-Z, the Brooklyn rapper has put the Game in overdrive as it relates to his ongoing beef with Jigga.

In a recent interview on Tim Westwood, in relation to Game, Jay simply called the West Coast rapper a “groupie” and that he just needed to get over it in reference to the reported intro to The Blueprint III.

Jay-Z Set to Replace Beastie Boys At Music Festival

Jay-Z's stepping in to save the day, this time for the Beastie Boys. As earlier reported, Beastie Boy member MCA revealed to fans in a YouTube video that he has parotid gland cancer and that the Hip-Hop group would have to cancel the rest of their tour. The group was scheduled to perform in New Jersey at the Westpoints Music Festival on July 31. Jay has officially signed on to replace them and will join a lineup that includes Coldplay, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Tool.

A letter has surfaced on the Internet from Alfamega to T.I. The letter is dated Wednesday July, 22 and in it the former “Grand Hustle Muscle” defends his character that has been severely tarnished with rumors of being a DEA informant. He begins, saying that he did not appreciate the public exile from Grand Hustle he received in May.

Drake Signs New Branding Deal

The breakout sensation from Toronto, Drake, signed his name on the dotted line once again. Drake officially signed with ICM Management yesterday. The company will handle all his tour dates and branding. The newest Young Money affiliate is in good company with ICM who also represents Beyonce, Halle Berry, Idris ELba and Katt “No I'm Not Broke” Williams.
