WEEN Network Host Conference In Atlanta

The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) will host "I AM WEEN" (www.weenonline.org) in Atlanta today, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Clark Atlanta University's Bishop Cornelius Henderson Student Center, 223 James P. Brawley Drive, SW, Atlanta, GA 30314.

The tour focuses on personal and professional development in entertainment, health, financial literacy, career development and self-empowerment. "I AM WEEN" uniquely engages young women in dialogue and information exchange through hands-on mentorship. Unparalleled networking and internship opportunities are shared with guests to inspire change in the community and the daily lives of all.

Event speakers will include Shanti Das (Executive Vice President of Universal Motown), Catherine Brewton (Vice President of BMI Music), Kim Hutchens (Executive Director of The Ludacris Foundation), Phaedra Parks (Attorney With The Parks Group) and Nicole Garner (Garner Circle Public Relations Group).

Valeisha Butterfield, Co-Founder and Chair of WEEN, states, "The event serves as a call-to-action for young people, students and industry professionals to become more informed and engaged, in a dynamic network of women making positive contributions in Atlanta and around the world."
