“He is recovering. He had two strokes. The recovery right now is slow but he is improving. I'm the only person that has seen him so far but he's doing good. He's recovering slowly but him having two strokes was deadly so it's a slow process.”

He also spoke of Nate's physical therapy process and him learning to talk and walk again, adding,

He stormed on stage adorned in a shiny platinum suit, crisp leather hard bottoms and sleek dark shades, roaring to over 5,000 hyped up fans, “It's me and oonu, me and oonu bombclat,” in his signature raspy baritone. Slick talking musical wiz, Buju Banton, rocked the WAMU Theatre at Madison Square Garden, last Friday night, alongside 80's Dancehall King, Shabba Ranks and a slew of special guests.

“I listen to every artist, not only myself,” revealed an energetic Buju in between entertaining foot work and chart-topping favorites, “Only Man,” “Champion,” “Batty Rider” and “Mr. Nine.”

“When mi hear how many people suffering everyday, mi wonder what's going on,” he lectured the attentive crowd, right before pouring out conscious tunes, “Hills and Valleys,” “Untold Stories,” ‘Til Shiloh and Destiny. “Reggae music's supposed to uplift, educate and eradicate negativity. Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Even in the darkest of hours, there seems to always be a light shining at the end of the tunnel as dawn breaks through the shadows. There may be hope for Vibe Magazine after all as they have re-emerged from certain death to bring themselves back up…at least in terms of their Web site.

Quincy Jones, the founder of the magazine, initially made claims that he would find a means in which to bring back his brand in some form, but it seems as though someone else may have stepped up to the plate in order to deal with the task.

InterMedia Partners, in partnership with Uptown Media Group announced today that they will be purchasing the assets of Vibe and Vibe.com. The site, (more...)

Diddy Is A “Starmaker”

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Man MTV, as long as you continue to let Diddy make these reality shows, I guess the reign of Bad Boy will never stop. Although it had clearly ran off the cliff musically, Diddy's presence on television is unshaken and incomparable as he has partnered with the station as well as Mark Burnett to bring “Starmaker.”

Diddy is currently running the reality series “Making His Band” where he will be conducting a nationwide search for musicians which will be able to make up his band for his tour “Last Train to Paris.” He has been auditioning singers, drummers, guitarists, etc. The upcoming series will have 14 artists competing for an exclusive recording contract from Bad Boy Records as well as (more...)
